University Professor at the Chair of Roman Law and the Law of Antiquity in University of Warsaw.
My academic research is combined with administrative duties for the University. My research focuses on legal awareness in Greek and Roman Antiquity. The natural environment for such study is provided by juristic papyrology. Within this field I have worked on marriage and divorce in Roman law and legal practice (as well as in the posterior legal tradition), late Antique juristic practice (the oeuvre of Dioskoros of Aphrodite) as well as legal standing of women in Antiquity. As the principal investigator in Dionysia’s project I coordinate, organize, and supervise all the works. My scientific contribution is legal analysis of the P. Oxy II 237, especially in regard to marriage law and the law of the Egyptians, and preparation of the publications.
